The reporting of inadvertent intravenous administration of breast milk in 1972 is one of the earliest publications of an enteral misconnection.

ISO_80369

ISO 80369, small-bore connectors for liquids and gases in healthcare applications in the aim to prevent tubing misconnections.

The ISO 80369 series’ objective is to prevent tubing misconnections and promote patient safety by specifying designs of non-interconnectable small-bore connectors for liquids and gases in several healthcare applications (IV, enteral, respiratory, neuraxial…).
